A Peninsula resident for 50 years, Elizabeth and her husband, Joe, raised 3 teenagers and 2 grandchildren in Atherton. She and Joe have worked in the commercial real estate industry for 30 years and co-own Orchard Commercial in Silicon Valley.
Since 2006, Elizabeth has served on many town committees in Atherton, including the Blue Ribbon Task Force (Civic Center project), General Plan Committee, Environmental Programs Committee, Finance Committee, and the ad hoc Aircraft Noise committee.
In 2010, she was appointed Chair of the Town Center Task Force to continue the work of the Blue Ribbon Task Force in the planning of Atherton’s new Civic Center.
In recognition of her service to the Town of Atherton, Elizabeth was elected to the City Council in 2008 and again in 2012. She became Vice Mayor in 2012 and Mayor in 2013.
